Mr Rabbity

I'm finally digging my hooks into my Yahoo challenge "Mr Rabbity" rug project. Oh yeah... My rabbit is named Mr Rabbity, not the project name!! Anyway, I think we're supposed to finish it and wait a bit before posting pictures to give other hookers a chance to get started on their own project...
And that will give me a bit more time to find/buy the right wool fabric for backside of pillow. Going thru my sister's button tin I found a set of huge teal '60s style' coat buttons that will match the background of my rug. So far Mr Rabbity is looking fine...

Two Different Styles of Rugs...

Two different hand crafted rugs. The red rug pops! As always, red never disappoints. I wonder how big it is??  The white crocheted hooked rug shows so much detail, I wonder if it was hard to do?

Five wise ladies...

Too funny, just had to share!

That dang Mr Rabbity....

My ideas for the pillow keep changing... Off with the bow tie and glasses. Since Mr Rabbity is going to reside on my sofa I want him to "fit-in" with his surroundings. It could do with more landscape color as well. The possibilities are endless!!

An Online Hooking Challenge

This is a Yahoo RugHookers Challenge. The free pattern is from RHMagazine. We are supposed to change Mr Rabbity and make him our own. For sure it will be a challenge to perfect what does not need perfecting!! Isn't he a darling?

Back in California...

Fifteen years ago I moved from Torrance to Phoenix. Today I'm back home for an extended stay! I really need to keep myself occupied and sorta came prepared.  I packed a big green trash bag with wool and have lined up a few hooking projects to keep myself busy while I'm here. I brought my three sewing machines too, haha! Don't ask...
If I hurry, I still may have time to join in on an "online rug hooking challenge." It's a rabbit that is a free pattern from this month's RHMagazine. The rules/challenge are simple, change the rabbit pattern to make it your own. Mr Rabbity is so cute just like he is, no need to change him! But, if you look at it as a challenge your creative juices should flow!! Like a dare. I dare you to perfect what does not need perfecting... This should be fun!! Keep in touch ladies...

Another sighting...

This center would look good on the 60s retro rug. The possibilities are endless.

A Retro Round Rug

This rug is 8ft round ~ 1960s style. Would make a nice hooked wool rug!
