This is NOT a hand hooked rug. I "borrowed it" from the Anthropologie store website. I thought it would make a good SHOW and TELL rug. Isn't that an awesome idea to hook your pet right into your floor rug?

Just a Wordy Update
I haven't had a chance to work on my Cowboy rug over the last few days. However, I did pick up a book on wild flowers which gave me a few ideas on drawing wild flowers on my rug backing, so I'm itching to get started. A while back ago I moved to Phoenix from Tucson, and left behind a group of talented rug hookers. They were a great inspiration. I hope to join another group that meets once a month in Mesa, AZ and maybe from there find a few hookers that live in my area of Phoenix?? Meanwhile my two Cowboys are beaconing so I better get hooking, later...

Wild Flowers
Ignore what you see... Imagine it to be a bed of wild flowers at the bottom of this rug. This rug sits 28" across the bottom and stands 48" tall. I'm using silk ribbons, thick yarn and all colors of wool strips. This cowboy rug is a long way from finished.
